We Care Home Away
The Courtyard Garden — Inclusive holidays in the heart of Normandy
At We Care Home Away, we’ve created more than just an accessible holiday home: we’ve created a place where you can relax, feel welcome, and enjoy time with the people who matter most.
Set in the quiet town of Sourdeval, The Courtyard Garden is Normandy’s first fully inclusive gîte, designed specifically for disabled guests, carers, families and friends.
Everything has been carefully considered based on real experience. This is a place where things just work – because they’ve been made with your needs in mind.

Why Stay With Us?
We understand what makes travel feel impossible – and we’ve worked hard to remove those barriers.
Whether you’re travelling with children, elderly relatives, or on your own, we’ve created a calm, practical and homely space where everyone feels safe and supported.
"If there's something you need that isn't already here, just let us know. We’ll do our best to make sure it’s ready for your arrival."
Explore Normandy
Just a short walk from the house, you’ll find bakeries, supermarkets, cafés, and Sourdeval’s traditional weekly market. A short drive takes you to peaceful lakes, ancient forests, and the beautiful medieval town of Domfront — perfect for day trips filled with charm, history, and nature.
Why This Gîte Exists
This home was created by someone who’s lived with a spinal cord injury for nearly four decades, and who knows first-hand what it’s like to travel with complex needs. From personal experience caring for elderly and disabled loved ones, every feature has been chosen with thought, care and practicality.
